Located at the heart of the Surrey village of Horsell is a victorian building established in 1900 to be a place for groups, clubs and societies to meet. The Parish Institute was intended to be a resource for St Mary's Church and for members of the Horsell community. It was originally described as being a Parish Room and Club House.
The building offers two meeting spaces one on the ground floor and the second on the first floor. It has a small kitchen and also toilet facilities.The Institute is available for hire by local groups, clubs as well as by individuals.

Users of the Parish Institute include/have included:
* Horsell Village After School Club (who have been based here since their formation in 1999)
* St Mary's church Youth Groups
* Horsell Residents Association
* Horsell Art Club
* St Mary's church committees
* Music bands (for practice - to reduce complaints from parents and neighbours!)
* Dance classes
* Mediation sessions
* A MIND Group
* For supervised child Contact sessions
The Parish Institute received a major refurbishment with financial support from Woking Borough Council as part of the overall redevelopment of the Scout Hut, Village Hall and Parish Institute rebuilding project. The Mayor of Woking re-opened the building on the 18th April 2015.
Regular and one-off bookings are both available. Rates are kept low in order to support local groups and clubs. Rates vary dependent on whether you are wanting a week day daytime slot, weekday evening slot, or a weekend slot. Rates will be confirmed upon enquiry.
